- Trolltunga: about 1,180 m above sea level, about 700 m above Ringedalsvatnet, on the western edge of Hardangervidda near Odda.
- P1 Tyssedal: 38 km return, about 15 h. P2 Skjeggedal: 27 km return, 8-12 h, about 1,200 m total ascent. P3 Magelitopp: 20 km return, 7-10 h (source: trolltunga.com).
- 2026 parking: P1 NOK 330/day, P2 NOK 550/day incl. toll, P3 NOK 600 + NOK 220 toll (30 spaces, pre-booking 8 Jun-31 Aug). Drop-off toll NOK 220.
- 2026 shuttle P2-P3: 8 Jun-27 Sep, NOK 150 up / NOK 100 down; last bus down from P3 19:00. Skjeggedal road open 06:00-21:00.

## Corrections to claims found elsewhere

- The usual start is no longer the Magelibanen funicular path: the funicular closed in 2010 and the official route from P2 begins on the 4.3 km road to P3.
- '20 km' applies only from P3 (shuttle or permit). From the main car park P2 it is 27 km.
- Trolltunga has no entry fee; parking, toll and shuttles are what you pay for.
- The guided-only rule outside summer is official advice from trolltunga.com and the tourist boards; no law is cited.
- Older pages list 2025 parking prices (NOK 300/500) and a NOK 200 toll; the 2026 figures are above.
