Trolltunga Active · Skjeggedal (P2)
You snowshoe up from Skjeggedal at a relaxed pace, leave your pack at a dome camp and walk the last stretch to the rock for the short winter sunset, often with nobody else there. Then hot chocolate by a fire, dinner, and a night in an Arctic Dome in the snow.

This is the winter version of the dome trip, sold as the Sunset-Sunrise Winter on Trolltunga Active's site. You meet at 10:30 at the base in Skjeggedal and start on foot from P2 with snowshoes or micro spikes, since there's no shuttle in winter. The route has several long climbs, and the operator promises a relaxed pace.
At the base camp you leave your bag, have a snack and a hot drink, and walk the last short stretch to Trolltunga. In winter you'll often have the rock to yourself. After photos it's hot chocolate by the fire, dinner, and a night in an Arctic Dome in a warm sleeping bag and liner. Next morning brings breakfast and coffee, then the hike out. You're back between 14:00 and 15:00, riding a snow racer down the last 4 km from P3 when conditions allow.
Be realistic about the cold. The domes are basic: a drop toilet outside, no showers, no electricity, and they don't hold heat well. It's 28 km and about 1,200 m of ascent, rated Advanced, and on the iciest days the guides may keep you off the tongue itself. You get free cancellation up to 4 days before, not the usual 24 hours, and a reseller's copy of the listing says the provider may cancel below an effective -20 °C or in very heavy rain or snow.
